This is by Far THE BEST Deer Stand Ever
Growing up hunting in the 80s my Dad heard about the buckshot bigshot in the early 90s and purchased one. The first time he ever hunted in it he was amazed. It wasn't long until I had one my brother had one and Dad purchased another. I've spent a lot of time in the woods and used other deer stands. This by far is THE BEST Deer stand ever manufactured. The ease of transport, hanging, and climbing is unmatched. The comfort and feeling of security, the versatility of rifle hunting or bow hunting make this a necessary purchase for anyone who deer hunts.    I recently needed a replacement backrest for an older buckshot I have. My calls were promptly returned and I had my new backrest in just a few days. After many hours in a tree and quite a few harvested deer I can't say enough about the buckshot company. Thanks for many memories and beautiful hunts.

Hunted over 50 years from NY to FL and west Texas
I have hunted for over 50 years now.  Hunted from New York to Florida and west to Texas.  I have had many different stands from many different companies and must say that these are the best I have ever owned. I have been hunting out of my Equalizer sense I got it in 2007 and have never had a issue nor had to replace any parts until this year.  17 years of great hunting in all kinds of weather and it is still going strong.  Thanks for a outstanding product and some of the best customer support there is.

Looking for a Good Solid Climbing Treestand
While hunting in my “BigShot Mag” stand last week I began reminiscing about the success I’ve had out of this stand over the last 20* years, I thought I should let BuckShot know.  I purchased this stand in the 1990’s. I was looking for a good, solid climbing treestand and a friend of mine had recently purchased a BigShot and had me try it.  I absolutely loved it and had to get one.
The good Lord only knows how many miles I’ve walked through the woods with this stand, how many trees it has been in and how many deer have been harvested out of it.  I was in my 40’s when I bought the stand – I am now 66 and still use it exclusively.  I have maintained it through the years, and I still feel perfectly safe 15-20 feet u in a tree with it.  I just want to thank you and your company for the outstanding tree stand and many years of hunting pleasure it has given me.

Best Climber by Far
I have been hunting for 45 plus years here in Minnesota. I have used a summit Goliath for about 15 years. I was getting tired of the steep angle I would have to put on this stand in order to be level once I got up in the tree. By chance I came across a stand that could be adjusted as you go up the tree. I bought the equalizer 24in with the back rest. After using this for the first time this last year. I have to say this is by far a better climber than the summit. First easy assembly out of the box. Shoulder straps are a good length wearing a heavy jacket as I'm a big guy. Putting the two pieces together is a lot better than the summit. The top goes over the bottom, and you synch it down and it holds together nicely for transport. The back rest will have to be installed if that's you option you chose, and it does not take much to install. Getting to the tree. In theory you can start level at the ground making it easier to get in and out. I did have one tree though I needed to have the bottom angled up a bit. 4 out of 5 trees not bad, so one tree needed a little more angle on the bottom. Going up the tree is far easier to climb than the summit due to foot placement. Forgot to mention when you get to the tree you need to extend both cables out. I like how the cable attaches. It's better than the summit by far. Okay climbing up I went up and when it started to not be level. I adjusted the top first which works great to make level. Then tightened the two side straps to adjust the bottom. This is where it can get tricky to adjust. Mine has like a knob a wheel with no real handle meant to adjust with your boot. Going up I found it to be easier to use my hand. You can't have your weight on either one when you adjust these. You will have to find what works best for you. Once up in the tree and the 2 straps tight. Man, I never felt safer in a stand. Then at this point I adjusted the back rest. To be honest I'm not used to facing the tree, but I tried, and the back rest Is very comfortable and can be adjusted to your needs and comfort. I used it as a platform for setting things on. I mounted cross mount gun holders on this towards the front which would be the back if you were facing the tree. I bought a strap with hooks to place on the tree for this position to hold my gun bow and a backpack. The seat can be easily adjusted to suit your needs either in the climbing position or in the back near the tree, so you can face away from the tree, and one more in the back as a but seat if you choose to stand. The back rest held my gear securely enough for me. I bought a cup holder and a velcro hook for strollers. Because the size of the bar for the back rest to hold my drink and backpack. Coming down in the stand I felt it was easier than going up. I didn't fold down the back rest until I got down to the ground. Yes, I have a rope to lower my gear first. Put the seat back in the climbing position and unloosen the 2 strap and start descending the tree. On the way down you will have to level top first tighten the straps then the bottom now that foot knob works like a charm to adjust pretty much because of the direction of the turn. Once level untighten straps and continue down. When you get to the ground, I folded down the backrest to make it easier to step over to get out. I forgot to mention getting in or out of the stand I put the top close to the bottom and turn to one side slightly step one foot out then rotate more and step out and on to the ground. Same way to get in. Undo the cables, adjust all the way in lay out the synch cord then the bottom and put the top over the bottom synch up and you’re ready to go. Best climber by far. I'm honest here it's going to take a minute to get up the tree with the adjustments that are made going up. Coming down is a lot easier. Make sure you leave yourself plenty of time in the morning when you get to your tree. Very well made and I would recommend this stand for sure.

I Understand how the leveling (of the Equalizer) will be a great feature
I actually have been hunting out of a Buckshot Cadillac stand for 40 years or so!  I thought you guys had went out of business for some reason, so was excited when I found your website.  I am engineer so the design on the equalizer looks great.  I debated between it and the big shot since it looks similar to the Cadillac, but I understand how the leveling will be a great feature, plus the cables are quieter.  Looking forward to climbing many trees with it.  I have harvested dozens of trophy bucks out of my Cadillac over the years!

Most dependable/adjustable hanging tree stand
In the fall of 2022, I purchased the Buckshot equalizer after exhaustive research online for the most dependable/adjustable hanging tree stand.  I have used it extensively these last two hunting seasons and absolutely love it. the cable and stand are a strong construction that makes me feel safe in the tree no matter how high.  A lot of the reason is the quiet adjustability of the stand so I can level of the platforms as I climb. Beyond that is the strength of the build.... I have sat in some steel stands that flex with your weight giving an uneasy feeling when trying to make a shot. Not so with this stand! I cannot imagine sitting in another stand after purchasing this product, cannot recommend it enough. 10/10

I've been using a big shot buck shot for over 25 yrs.
I've been using a big shot buck shot for over 25 yrs. Has to be one of the best stands I've ever bought.  Order some replacement parts on 4/22 and had them at my door step on 4/23. Best experience I have ever had from a company. Called and Matt walked me threw all the different parts for the model I have. Now I'm getting ready to order a new stand so I can just have one to leave at camp , and one to take to other states I hunt. By far one of the best tree stands on the market.  Been around for almost 30 yrs speaks for itself.  Thanks for a great product.

Popular Brands Just Don't Compare
I was introduced to these stands many years ago when I spotted the buckshot in a hardware store in GA. Just recently I purchased the big shot and feel it is the best brand tree climber on the market for safety and comfort. I have friends that have purchased some of the other popular brands and they just don’t compare.

Best Climbing Treestand I Ever Owned!
I purchased the equalizer over 10 years ago. It’s the best climbing stand I ever owned. I’m 63 y/o. With this stand you can start climb level and reach your height still be level. It’s the best safe climbing stand on the market. The adjustable hand cranks keep your stand level while climbing. I have other stands that I have to put on a tree at an angle and hope I put the right angle. With this stand you don’t have that worry. I orders some parts for it and they sent it to me within 3-5 days. Great service.

I have had my Equalizer for over a year
I have had my Equalizer for over a year and it’s been great. I had been using Summit Vipers for many years. The stand is very well made and thought out, the welds are flawless. I picked this leveling stand because the crank stays in one position and after using the stand I seen that was a wise choice.
The double row teeth grab and hold the tree the best without digging into the bark too much. The included stabilizer straps really locks this stand to the tree which gives you a very safe and secure feeling, there is no slippage when set.
The ability to level the stand safely is great and with this stand you never have to settle for a less than level platform, that also adds greatly to the secure feeling.  It also carries very well, much better than my Viper. The Equalizer just doesn’t feel as heavy or as bulky as the Summit.
As far as seating goes there is a lot of versatility there. The bench seat is very comfortable and it feels like a comfortable hang on stand. I ordered the optional backrest so I can also sit facing the tree and that has worked out great. For early season hunting I use a Hazmore net seat and that makes for a very lightweight stand to carry.  The stand nests together great and packs up nicely, also it’s very quiet climbing. The coated cables have a much more durable coating than my Summit cables. I am very happy with this stand and the quality is second to none, it is well worth the money.

I cant tell you the number of hours and quality Bucks I've taken
I have one of the original Buckshot stands from when they were first made. Remarkable stand and I cant tell you the number of hours and quality Bucks I've taken from it. I have bought new seats and screw in pins over the years.  I'm a big guy and I have no concerns using it. I use it on mostly on South Georgia pines that are straight and tall. I bought an Equalizer before 2007 and it truly is a joy to use allowing me to climb higher than I could in my Buckshot BigShot stand. I recently ordered a new seat and backrest and the shipping was faster than I expected. Three days and I was up and running again in a like new stand. If your looking for one of the best stands on the market and great folks to back them up, look no further than the folks at Buckshot. Hunt high and stay along time.

Will be the last stand you ever buy trust me

I have been using the Equalizer tree stand since 2005 and it still going strong. I have used Lone Wolf, Loggy old and new type stand, Tree Lounge, Big Hunter, few homemade ones, and some I can’t remember the names. I also sold many different types of stands such as Summits at Bass Pro when I worked there. It took me a long time to buy it because of the price but from trying a friends Equalizer, I fell in love with it so I put one on layaway during the summer and got it as soon as the 2005 season started. The best thing I have ever bought. The best part of the stand to be able to adjust your stand as you climb. I don’t know how many times I was only able to climb so high because the stand will not be level.  Many times I had to put the nonlevel stands up high so I will be able to climb higher. I have used this stand in many states on the east coast Maryland, New York, PA, Maine, SC, NC, Tenn. and VA. I have climbed all different type of trees with it from pine to hickory and it never slipped. I love the cushion seat myself I sit all days at times. I average over 100 hunts a year with a average 6 hours a hunt most of the time in the rut I will sit all day. When I come down it is because I want to. Most stands I had I came down because I am cramped.  I am a big guy still able to climb with it and get in and out of it. This will be the last stand you ever buy trust me

Bites Good into both Hardwood and Pine Trees
I purchased the buckshot equalizer due to some problems with my summit treestand. I have been shooting out of the equalizer the past few days and I absolutely love it. I can actually shoot all around the stand with no interference from the arm bar the problem I had with my other stand. It bites into the trees good both hardwood and pine. The stand feels super safe and secure due to there positive locking system.

BuckShot BigShot It’s absolutely rock solid
I purchased Buckshot Bigshot stands for me and my son in ~1997. I have used it every year since and it still works perfectly. It’s easy to pack a long way back in the woods (I’m now 71). It’s the safest and most sensible stand that I have ever seen, and I have seen a lot. Its very simple to attach to the tree. After 2 of my buddies saw mine in use for a few years, they both bought a Bigshot. For some reason, after a few years they both bought a Summit. Now they’ve gone back to using their Bigshot. Oh well, I could have told them.
I routinely go up 40 ft and always feel very safe. When the stand is cinched down with the security ropes, it’s absolutely rock solid. I use the facing the tree position primarily, but have used the back-to-the-tree position for archery. Facing the tree works for the crossbow. I expect that this stand will last for the rest of my hunting career and then be passed on to a grandson. If you buy this stand, you won’t be sorry.

No Better Climbing Tree Stand, BuckShot BigShot
I haven't purchased this particular product but I own what I think is the original BuckShotBigShot. 19.5 width with welded metal mesh platform. I'm guessing I've owned it for 20-25 years, used it EVERY deer season, and am just NOW having to replace a couple of parts. Not because they have failed but because of safety reasons. I am a large man, weighing anywhere between 240 and 300# since I've owned this stand. I. Have never felt like my safety was in jeopardy at any time. I will be purchasing another BigShot in a couple of months and I HIGHLY recommend this stand to anyone looking for a safe, quality tree stand. Other than the safety aspect, what I like most about this stand is the simplicity of it's use. I foolishly bought a different climbing tree stand a few years ago (Viper) and the calisthenics it forced me to do in the dark high up in a tree just trying to get turned around to hunt was enough to make me leave it in the barn. (I think I used it twice) The BigShot is a FANTASTIC stand. GET IT....I promise you won't be disappointed. Five Stars all the way.

A Great Stand

After struggling with other stands for years I picked up an equalizer stand based on a friends recommendation nearly 15 years ago. I could not be happier with the stand. Although not the easiest to carry of the various stands I have tried it more than makes up for it with an easy climb and the leveling function really makes for a more comfortable and secure long days in the stand. I recently broke one of the crank handles due to some rough handling in the bed of my truck. After placing an order for a replacement , I received it in the mail in just 3 days. This was great services since I am in the middle of the rut and really wasn't looking forward to dragging one of my old stands out of the junk shed. I think the new crankhandles will last longer than the original due to the revised design.

Best Climber I have Ever Owned!!
I have been using my Equalizer for 2 years now and I have to say that is by far the best treestand I have ever owned. I primarily hunt whitetails in Northern Maine; where the conditions can be harsh. The second week in November this season found me hunting in morning temperatures of 15 degrees over snow. The excellent design of the equalizer ensured that it operated smoothly and quietly even in these frigid temps; the crank system worked flawlessly and because I could level both sections of the stand I was able to comfortably sit for hours. The manufacturer stands behind the product 100% and when I needed help with a small part they quickly and cheerfully fixed the issue and got me back in the woods in no time. Some of my hunting buddies have noticed that I was able to stay out hunting longer when the conditions were challenging and that is because when you are comfortable it makes the hunt more fun and you can hunt longer. I also believe that it is safer due to its design. I use backpack straps and hike with my stand until I find an area I want to hunt; now I can easily find a tree to climb; even those that have alot of taper because the Equalizer can easily adjust to any diameter. I would certainly recommend the Equalizer to anyone that likes to hunt from treestands and like me; likes to hunt up high for both sight and scent advantage. In fact, when it is very cold I bring a little sportcat propane heater with me and I stay warm and being up high the deer are unaffected...several have walked directly beneath me unaware of my presence....clearly an advantage of climbing. I look forward to many more  hunting seasons with my Equalizer.

Best Climber I have Ever Used Hands Down!!
I have been hunting from a tree stand now for 30 + years.  I have owned countless tree stands and currently own 4 of the most popular brands on the market.  The Equalizer is the Only one I use.  It literally takes any of the anxiety out of estimating the taper of a tree.  One of my biggest problems when I get to a tree (especially a tree I've never hunted before) is, in the dark I don't want to shine my light up the tree trying to figure out how to set my stand.  With this stand I simply set it level and start climbing!  Quiet, Easy to climb with, and packs even easier!  So glad I have one!  I absolutely love this stand!!

BuckShot BigShot Best Climber Ever!!
I purchased my BuckShot BigShot back in 1997.  I've had several climbers, but not can compare. I've climbed w/this stand w/o safety harnesses for years till one of my friends's other type of  climber gave way and he became disabled.  Now, I use safety harnesses.  I have made all day hunts and feel confident when climbing.  This stand has never slipped on me while climbing.  After this season, I might consider buying the 24" model for the wider trees.  Glad to see you are selling parts again, 'cus I've wore out some of the seats and other hardware...not because the parts are cheap, it;s because I use the heck out of it.  This is the Cadillac of all climbers...period!!

The Best Stand I have Ever Used!!
I just received my Equalizer Tree Stand via Fed X today, and must say in 35 years of hunting, and no less than 12 climbers, this is the best stand I have ever used!!  I assembled it (IL. Shotgun opens tomorrow) and ran down to the woods to try it.  Needless to say it worked perfectly!!  I recently had a right knee injury; therefore, setting the platform at severe angles did not bode well with my knee.  The leveling innovations incorporated with this stand prevents me from having to start at 45-60 degree angles.  I have climbed for 35 years.  Therefore, I went up approximately 12' and the stand is absolutely rock solid!  The seat is as comfortable as my recliner!!  Kudos to the engineers/folks involved with this innovative design, it is simply the best stand I have ever used!!!  P.S. your YouTube video is perfect in regards to assembling!  For the guy who loves to be mobile, this stand allows me to do just that!  Again, my right knee injury had hampered my ability to use my climber due to the angles I often find myself facing.  However, your product has eliminated this and has allowed me the freedom to pursue my passion.  Once again, thank you for an awesome product!!

My BuckShot Equalizer was My Solution!
I have had several of your stands, starting with the BuckShot BigShot in the early to mid-1990s.  Since that time, I have also had a CenterShot and 2 Equalizers (unfortunately one was stolen).  The stands are roomy, secure and comfortable.  Even with those positive attributes, the stand became more important to me after 2011.
Unfortunately, I suffered a detached retina in my left eye in March of 2011.  Following numerous surgeries, I lost all vision in my left eye, my dominate and shooting eye.  I had to learn to shoot right handed.  Though I could no longer shoot my compound bow I started hunting with a crossbow.  As you can imagine, this was very cumbersome and created more movement than deer would tolerate.  Initially tent blinds helped mask my movement but though I enjoyed being able to hunt I longed for the view and sounds in the trees.
My Buckshot Equalizer was my solution.  It enabled me to hunt from a tree while still providing a platform to steady my crossbow.  The backrest also served as a shooting rest (Adjustable Backrest Bar).  That is very important for one who had to start over and shoot opposite handed.  The climber was also important for another reason.  Having only one eye has affected my depth perception.  It is just not safe for me to climb high in the trees with ladder steps and small platforms.  Again, your Buckshot stands solved that problem.
Recently I needed some replacement parts for my stand.  Everyone I talked to from your company was kind, courteous and informative.  I am grateful for the help given.  I am very comfortable recommending the Buckshot stands to all my friends and relatives.
Keep up the good work!!

I haven't tried out this particular one, but it came well shipped, packaged well. I just want you to know that I will be putting you guys some reviews out once I get to the stand and trying it out. I greatly appreciate your customer service as I spoke to you several times and you were very generous. I actually purchased this stand through the e-Gift Certificates until I got it paid off. Will get you guy some reveiws out, thank you very much Barbara. Have a great day.

Equalizer is a Class Act!
I am 64 year old baby boomer who is fussy about hunting gear and wants to keep things easy and safe. The equalizer is a class act! It packs well only one strap to hold it together you don't have a bunch of bungee cords to deal with. The design of the stand is compact it doesn't hit the back of your legs as your walking through the woods and it doesn't extend over your head so you can walk through thick brush without catching it on everything. The shoulder straps allow you to easily adjust them to put the weight on your shoulders or your lower back when you are walking. Both sections  attach to the tree very easily, in the dark no problem. Leveling the stand as you climb is one of the best features. I used other climbers the bottom section is tilted so bad I couldn't even climb the tree. Another great feature is the locking straps. once you lock the straps the platforms are tight to the tree not like other climber stands when you stand on the platform they tilt side to side or you stand up and the seat section lifts up from your clothes catching it. When I am in my equalizer stand I always feel safe. I watch other hunters fill their trucks with climbing sticks and hang on trees stands. Its crazy carrying all that out in the woods get it set up, then have to move it to adjust to deer movement. You spend all day just moving stands and putting your scent in your hunt area. Why not just pack a equalizer and eliminate all that nonsense.

Dependability, and Reliability are Paramount
I own one of the original models of the Buckshot climbing stand. I purchased this particular model in 1994, and it's/we are still going strong.  All these years in the field, weather of all sorts, up and down so many tall Georgia pines, my Buckshot stand is as good as it ever was. What a remarkable product!  At my age, safety, dependability, and reliability are paramount, and your stand has surely given me that and more for over twenty years!  I've shown and talked about your website to other local hunters, and with my son, another generation introduced to your famous stands. I must say, I'll rest easy when my days of climbing have come to an end, kowning my son is out there using the best stand ever made in my opinion, climbing the tall Georgia pines after the elusive Whitetail!

STILL THE BEST
'Original' Equalizer Geared Leveling TS w/ABR - Own two of the original big shots that i still use. I was thrilled to see buckshot mfg. Start up again offering the best climbing tree stands ever made. For us hunters who still scout, adapt and move to deer in the woods versus sitting in a shooting house looking over a green plot this is the best stand on the market. I just purchased the equalizer with adjustable back rest. Fastest set up and being able to adjust the stand on the tree takes the guesswork out of the base set up on the tree. Can sit in this stand all day and evening. This stand is worth every penny for the hunter looking for a great climbing stand. Thanks buckshot!

Forever Equalizer Hunting
Let me first start off by saying that I never tried a tree climber before. I started hunting more this year then prior years with a good friend of mine (who is a very avid and great hunter). My friend has climbers and other equipment that he has acquired throughout the 30 + years he has been hunting. One day went online and both purchased some regular light weight tree stand climber to use this upcoming season. I had no idea what I got myself into. I tried this new climber out, like I said for the first time and I was not convinced that I was safe at 5 feet up and let alone at about 25 feet up the tree. It took me long to get up there and just as long to get back down. So I said to myself it's not too bad. I can do this. So in the next few days we decided to go for a morning hunt (early bow season). It was about 4:30 in the morning and dark. I climbed up the tree with this tree climber (not the Equalizer) and locked it in place. As I'm sitting in it I reached over my shoulder to grab something out of my backpack that was hanging on the tree by a hook. Next thing I know, I almost dropped about 30 feet down. The climber wasn't doing its job by biting into the tree!! It lifted on one side and dropped on the other while I was sitting on it. I was shaking in my camo!!!!!!! For the next few hours I just sat there not moving a muscle because of fear that I would fall and I also didn't want to make a sound to spook anything that could possibly be near us. I swore to myself while still up the tree shaking that I would never use this climber ever again. After our morning hunt was over I told my friend what had happened and he told me about the equalizer he has. I was skeptical at first after what had just happened to me but I said why not give it a shot. A few days later we go again for another morning hunt and I fell in love. I climbed up that tree so fast as if I were a professional doing this for years, mind you this is the second time I had ever used a tree climber. I was so comfortable with it I went up almost 35 feet and started laying back that I started falling asleep up there. I love this thing!!! I love how it has two rows of teeth that bite into the tree unlike others that have one row. As the time goes by an 8 pointer came out and we harvested him. I was so comfortable up there that I wanted to stay in the trees all day. I didn't want to come down. I love the fact that even in the dark a novice like myself didn't have to start off on an incline like other climbers and how easy and efficient the equalizer leveling gears made me climb up and down. I feel so at ease and comfortable up in the trees on the equalizer. This thing is amazing. I wanted this climber badly but could not find it anywhere. Thank you to inventor Thomas Graham for coming up with such a great and innovative design. And thanks to Bill and Barbara for doing such a great job keeping the equalizer climbing and for being such a caring crew for us hunters. I can't wait to put together my new equalizer and go back into the woods and bag a trophy.

HANDS DOWN BEST CLIMBER OUT THERE
'Original' Equalizer Geared Leveling TS  I have tried several other climbing tree stands and have gone on hunts in various states over the past 20 years. This is a stand that I consistently tell other hunters in my group is my most important piece of equipment. It's the one treestand I use each and every time I head into the woods. I haven't found a stand that gives me the ability to climb trees other stands can't. Also, this is a stand that I always feel safe and rock solid as I climb the tree and finally get set up to hunt. The ability to level the stand gives it the one unique feature that Ii haven't seen from any other climbing tree stand. There is only one stand that I will recommend to anyone in the hunt for the best climbing treestand and the Equalizer is the one, hands down.

I personaly own own eight buckshot treestands - why ? - simple they are without a doubt the safest and most comfortable treestand on the market today plus the fact that I regulary leave several treestands on public hunting lands from beginning of season to end, here in Pa. it is sad to say but theft is a problem but with either two or four of BuckShot locks on my stands theft is not a problem (you would have to cut the tree down to get the stand and even then you would not be able to remove the locks) you can still climb the tree with locks in place this is a great feature I do tend to favor the Equalizer over other models just personal preference with the adjustable back rest it is like sitting a lounge chair 25 feet up (my preferred height) do not be fooled by imitations , I bought my first Buckshot treestand from Tom Graham Sr. many years ago and still to this day use that very stand, Barbara is now continuing with the safest and most comfortable treestand on the market today, your truly a very satisfied costumer for many years both past and in the future : John A.

....it is the perfect treestand
I have had my Equalizer treestand since about 2005. It has been a truly great treestand. It has been trouble free and safe all these years. At one time, I thought the mechanism might be too complex, but this added complexity truly makes it absolutely quiet and easy to deploy. It is easy to use, quiet, reasonably lightweight, durable....it is the perfect treestand. Don't be confused by others ads, their design is years behind. Even if they are lighter by a few ounces, how far are you walking that even an extra 10 lbs would matter??

BUCKSHOT STILL THE BEST
I bought an equalizer tree stand when they first came out.I have tried just about every brand of climbing stand there is.if you climb a tree that tapers as most do ,you have to start out at a steep angle, then when you get to where you want most times the stand is not level.  this is not the case with the equalizer, you can level it at any time. It ataches to thee very quickly. The seat is very comfortable, and the shooting rail is very adjustable. there are no loose parts to make noises, the stand is built very strong, and when locked to the tree it does not move. The Equalizer is the best stand I have ever owned.

By far the Equalizer Tree Stand has changed the way we use tree stands
Even to this day with technology, the Equalizer is ahead of it's time. The design is still the leader when comparing to other stands. Especially when it comes to safety, security, portability, and how easy it is to use, the Equalizer answers all the questions. I feel totally safe in the Equalizer. I actually can assemble and climb a tree in complete darkness. Not to mention how quite it is, even when I'm hiking. Once in position I can stand, lean or sit and still take my shot without any interference from straps or framing in almost 360 degrees. It's adjustability puts me at the best advantage. The locking cable connection is quite, quick and I definitely feel safe with it's unique design. Another safety feature is the adjustable cinch straps. Not one, like most other manufactures, but on each side. Before I climb or while I'm climbing I can adjust them to my height just by pulling or loosening the strap through the cinch clip. If for what ever reason the bottom platform was to drop, and in seven years of use it never has, I just drop my feet and stand up, that simple. When I'm at the height I like to hunt I simply pull on each cinch strap and lock the two platforms together. Even if I wanted to I couldn't pull them apart, locked to the tree. Now let me get to the main feature of the Equalizer Tree Stand. This is what it's really about. The leveling system allows you to level each platform even while you climb. As the tree diminishes in diameter as you climb the platforms begin to angle downward. The leveling cranking system allows you to adjust the cable in or out to position you in the most comfortable, safe position, to climb or descend. I don't know what more you can ask from a climbing tree stand. Thank you Equalizer and the BuckShot Manufacturing Company.

Made a Tremendous Difference in my Hunting Success
I was ecstatic to hear the Equalizer tree stand was coming back! I got my 24" Equalizer (EQ-24) in 2008 as a gift from my father. He swore by them and still does. And so do I. I am going to buy one for my son when they're back in production. My EQ-24 is so versatile that I can climb a wide variety of trees from small gums to big oaks - it has made a tremendous difference in my hunting success. The capability to level the stand by simply turning the hand crank makes it quick, easy, and quiet. Once up the tree, the EQ-24 locks down tight and I have no fear (I hate heights) of being 30 feet up and dozing during the day. The comfort is unparalleled! Sure, you can buy another brand of tree stand with a sling seat for the comfort, but you can't move how and when you have to! Not a problem with the Equalizer. I have spent many full days dark-to-dark in my stand without ever climbing down. When I show off my stand at the hunt camp - the craftsmanship is superb, the versatility, comfort, and safety is unmatched. Several of my friends have bought the Equalizer and all have had the same experience as I - it's the best stand on the market. I cannot emphasize how good the Equalizer is.

Only Climber I will deer hunt out of.....
No more guesstimating the proper angle to start out climbing at the base of the tree so my climber is level AND SAFE once I reach the top. The Equalizer is at a safe angle for the hole climb up the tree. Bought my Equalizer in 2008 at the time I also had climbers made by ****** & **** ****. The Equalizer replaced both. I sold the **** **** and the ****** hasn't been used since buying my Equalizer. It's the only climber I will deer hunt out of.

I love my Equalizer deer stand. I have been trying to get replacement cables for it for two years now. I had to buy an API to deer hunt due to not being able to contact anybody at the factory. I want my Equalizer back!!!!!!!!! I can hunt all day in my Equalizer.  (Michael cables are available at BuckShotMfg.com....)

Quietest and Safest Stands on the Market
Glad to see you guys are back and better than ever. Just wanted to drop you a line to let you all know I have had my equalizer for the past 7-8 years and it has been without question the best stand that I have owned and I have owned a few over the years. It is without question one of the most stable stands on the market and without doubt the easiest to climb with. I love the bench seat because of the positions you can hunt in that stand. The positive locking system makes you feel secure and I have never had the shifting of the stand. The leveling system has saved me from climbing back down to readjust angle of the stand. Not sure if you all added any changes to the newer models but I am very pleased with mine. I would recommend this stand to anyone because it is the quietest and safest stands on the market. Glad your back !!!!

No other stand comes close
I own 1 equalizer and 4 big shot stands. I have hunted these stands for several years and never had any problems at all. No other stand comes close. Glad to see you back and will be buying from you again.

2013 From From a independent review on HuntOnly.com
I bought my Equalizer climbing stand about 4 years ago. The main reason for buying the Equalizer was a friend of mine had bought one a year earlier and showed it to me and explained the leveling concept associated with this stand. I'm a pretty big guy who doesn't have the agility and flexibility of Jean-Claude Van Damme, which comes in handy when trying to get into and out of conventional climbing stands that provide steep angles to deal with on certain trees. Anyone who has hunted from a climbing stand can empathize with what I'm about to say. The challenge of finding the right tree with the right diameter to enable you to get to the right height can be a challenge when you are hunting without a leveling stand. When hunting with a gun it's not as critical to find the perfect tree based on having the ability to reach out and touch a whitetail deer a couple hundred yards away. When it comes to bow hunting it's a whole different story with associated challenges. Using other stands without leveling capability can be very challenging. When you put the platform and climbing apparatus on certain trees, you have to start at such an exaggerated angle it's nearly impossible to get into the stand to start to climb. If you minimize the angle at the bottom of the tree to enable you to get into the stand you're probably not going to be able to get to your desired height without the stand leaning or sagging forward. The technology the Equalizer provides is the best of both worlds. It has a geared leveling system that enables you to safely and quietly level the stand at any point. You can start at the bottom of the tree with a flat platform, climb to your desired height and re-level your stand by cranking the handles on both the platform and the climbing apparatus while remaining attached to the tree. The Equalizer has a cabling block that enables you to extend and contract the stand for up to 12 inches. The SwiftLoc cable is very strong and rated at 10,000 pounds with a nylon coating This stand employs the positive locking system which secures the top and bottom of the stand together while locking both of them to the tree as if they were permanently attached. This stand also has a tandem blade stabilizer system that reaches further around the tree providing additional stability. The Equalizer is a very strong stand. They demonstrate its strength by having 4 or 5 men stand on it at the same time with no problem. The stand is reasonably light weighing in just less than twenty pounds. It fits around trees with a diameter of up to 20 inches. It's fairly compact and easy to assemble/disassemble. All cable attachments are fixed to the stand no dropping or losing parts in the woods. The swiftloc technology enables you to quickly and safely lock your treestand around the tree. The seat can be used in three different positions; facing tree, facing away from the tree on a flat bench, and facing away from the tree on an angled bench. I highly recommend this product. Stop trying to beat the angle game when it comes to climbing stands and invest in one of or the most flexible stands on the market.

Rock Solid Once Cinched to the Tree!
I have deer hunted for the past 35 years and have used every type, (if not every) treestand on the market. That includes lounges, the ones with the boat seats and bands, and every type of blade, strap, or cable to attach to the tree. I have never used one as easy to attach to the tree or as easy to climb with as the Equalizer. It goes on quickly and quietly and adjusts to tree diameter on the fly (or on the climb I should say) and it is rock solid once cinched to the tree. It is also very light and packs up great. It just doesn't get any better than that. All treestand hunters should try one and you will have very little use for the rest of your stands. You will not be disappointed.
